Fans are eager to find out what happens next to Kevin Garvey after volunteering to die in the previous episodes in order to go to the "other side" to confront Patti that led to his shocking resurrection in the woods. They might have to wait however since "The Leftovers" Season 2 Episode 9 is headed back to Mapletown to focus more on the Guilty Remnant and its new crusader, Meg Abbott.
Based on the synopsis of this episode of "The Leftovers" Season 2, the show will look back how Meg Abbot chose her destiny to become a Remnant Crusader. According to Christian Post, her journey from a personal loss to become one of the fiercest Remnant leaders will be shown in detail.
In her pilgrimage to further the Guilty Remnant's cause, she will have Tom Garvey for company. Tom had a falling out with Laurie following their hug scam started to take an emotional toll on him. It was never revealed though what exactly led Tom to walk out on her.
In the sneak peek of the same episode, Meg could be seen pushing the other cult members into action according to IB Times. One of them told her that there are numerous rumors going around that she is planning something major on October 14. She called the rumors ridiculous. The scene made viewers curious how Meg's alleged plan relates to the episode's title which is "Ten Thirteen".
The promo also gives viewers clues as to what Meg is really after. Apparently, she has grown a bit dissatisfied with the impact the Guilty Remnant is currently having.
Meanwhile, Kevin seems to be fighting for his life again as he is being hunted down by John Murphy in the promo trailer. Cartermatt reveals that John suspects that Kevin knows something about his daughter Evie's disappearance. The end part of the trailer shows him pointing a gun at Kevin.
