Lego Marvel's The Avengers shall once again assemble, now pretty much calling all of the Earth's mightiest mortals which includes the iconic comic characters.
It has been a decade since the very first Lego adaptation of a movie icon had been a hit on the shelves, and an entire decade of nostalgic Lego crossovers popped up ever since. The franchise had exploded with licensed properties such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and Lord of the Rings, among others. And now, the Earth's mightiest heroes will get on their blocked skins as they shall be updated once more, with new characters. Lazygamer revealed that the additional characters shall include: Agent Carter, Fin Fang Foom, Crimson Dynamo, Mantis, Crossbones, Moon Boy and Devil Dinosaur, Skaar, Squirrel Girl, Wendigo, Korvac, and Iron Man Mark 38 armor, also known as Igor.
Aside from Disney Infinity, this Lego crossover is the only ground wherein gamers can experience Marvel characters toys coming to life. Forbes reveals that the final game shall feature up to 250 unlockable characters from the Marvel universe. It would also feature contents from various iconic Marvel Films such as The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: Dark World, and Captain America: the Winter Soldier.
On the other hand, Movie Pilot comments that Lego Marvel's The Avengers may contain excellent source material, however its blending of IPs allows for more suggestive nudging from developers. It the site's comparison of the game with the Lego Dimensions game, the site opined that Lego Marvel's The Avengers will have to trump the former in numerous aspects. These include the blending of toys and games in terms of innovative design, balance in game puzzles, and how the gamestory is constructed.
Lego Marvel's The Avengers is scheduled for release on January 26, 2016 with more than 250 Lego characters from the iconic franchise.
