‘Scalebound’ Release Date Revealed, Updates Remain Silent

By

While no official release date has been revealed yet, Scalebound is expected to be released to the shelves on the fourth quarter of the year 2016. However, very little news have been available regarding the game's specific details.

News and rumors of Scalebound seem to be scarce. However, Crossmap reveals that the game is set to have an exclusive Xbox One release on Q4 of 2016. Scalebound, developed by Platinum Games, is a single player role playing game wherein a player plays the protagonist Drew as he goes on adventures with his dragon, Thuban, on the world of Draconis. While the game does not have an MMORPG option, it would offer a co-operative multiplayer mode which allows a player to add up to three players.

The game has also made it to SegmentNext's list of 2016 Best Games to play given its fast paced and free brawling action which entails getting to fight gigantic beasts, among other characters. Its game character also has a cool looking Dragon companion.

Reportedly, Game Director Hideki Kamiya may still be busy working on the progress and development of Scalebound; however, he seems to be busy working on other projects as well. Gameranx revealed that on two Twitter updates, the director from Platinum Games asked his followers and fans on which among the old Capcom games would fans wish to see and Kamiya to do. At the end of the poll, Okami ended as the fan favorite.

On the other hand, game developer Platinum Games seems to be very busy working on other projects as well. Gamepur reports that the Japanese independent developer is working on a brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Mutants in Manhattan game in partnership with Activision. The site also commented that the developer might be the busiest developer as they still had a lot on the line. This includes Nier: Automata for Square Enix and Star Fox Zero for Nintendo.

While news and updates seem to be very quiet about Microsoft and Platinum Games' Scalebound, it can be expected to hit the Xbox One consoles on the fourth quarter of the year 2016.
