'Avengers: Infinity War' is an upcoming two-part installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Three. It may feature a fight between the Hulk and Captain America as well as a newly forged alliance between the Avengers and the Guardians.
According to Movie Pilot, an impending clash between Hulk and Captain America may be in the works for the latest installment in the Avengers cinematic series. The first film featured the fight between Avengers members Iron Man and Thor during a disagreement about Loki's fate. Another fight followed between Thor and Hulk when Loki escaped.
It was speculated that Captain America may be the latest Avenger to battle it out with Hulk since the latter seemed to get into some kind of scuffle with other members of the team in each of the Avengers movies. However, this is more of a theory and less an official part of the new storyline.
Another article by the Australia Network News suggested that Captain America may find himself subduing Hulk during another one of his ruthless rampages. Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will not be part of the latest 'Captain America: Civil War' film despite returning for 'Avengers: Infinity War'. Ruffalo revealed in a previous interview, "My character had been in the script, but then he got removed. Who knows, maybe the Hulk will never return. They want to keep the revelation of what happened to him a secret, because it's something really big."
Meanwhile, Thanos a.k.a. the Mad Titan will be the main antagonist in the back-to-back Avengers films. According to Movie News Guide, the Avengers may join forces with the Guardians in hopes of defeating the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) supervillain. It was said that Thanos is both a huge threat to Earth as well as the entire galaxy and it is up to the two superhero teams to cast him down.
'Avengers: Infinity War' is a two-part sequel to previous films 'The Avengers' and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. The first part is scheduled to debut on May 4, 2018 while the second part will be released on May 3, 2019. The two films will be part of the MCU's Phase Three as the sixth and tenth installment.
