Nintendo NX will Enter Production in Early 2016

By

The new Nintendo console, unofficially dubbed as the 'Nintendo NX', will start mass production by first quarter of 2016.

According to various reports, the gaming console has finished its design and testing phase and is ready to enter production. Hardcore Gamer states that Nintendo will be ready to ship out about 20 million units of the NX by 2016, while the company's suppliers are giving a more humble estimate of 10-13 million units.

The biggest question now that is haunting the minds of existing Nintendo console owners is, if the upcoming NX will render all aspects of the previous creations by the company (the Wii and the Wii U) obsolete.

Metro has reported that a recently leaked patent has suggested a supplementary cloud-computing device to be a part of the console system. This has never been seen before in previous devices by Nintendo and makes people wonder if old systems will be able to experience the operating system of the new console.

In addition to that, reports also indicate that the NX will be convertible to various modes of gaming experience - including a means of shifting from a home console to a portable one. This has also never been seen before.

The Nintendo NX gaming console launch follows a not-so-successful launch of the Wii U, which did not meet the sales expectations of the company. However, analysts are hoping to see NX capitalize on their failures this time around. One area that the NX is expected to grow in is in maximising their legendary roster of long-standing IPs, says What Culture, which the company has been silent about creating and maintaining new IPS.

The Nintendo NX, or whatever the new console will be called, will finally be revealed by its creators by 2016. For now, Nintendo chooses to remain silent about the features, specs and expectations. For now, all reports we can bank on are rumors, leaks and assumptions.
