The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the fortunate handsets that has been confirmed to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now, the Note 4 units that are based in Europe have finally obtained the newest OS.

According to Christian Today, Galaxy Note 4 is bound to receive its Android Marshmallow update early next year. This is in line with the supposed schedule roadmap which is apparently an internal document from Samsung that has been leaked online. Based on the schedule, the Galaxy Note 4 is speculated to receive its official Android 6.0 OTA update by February.

Nevertheless, it seems that Samsung already has the Android 6.0 version for the Galaxy Note 4 prepared. There are talks suggesting that the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the update in selected locations. According to the reports, an editor from website Napidroid has reportedly received an update for the Galaxy Note 4 device, cliaming that the build is not a flashed one. The report shows a screenshot of the supposed build with the version number N910FXXU1DOL3X.

Tech Times added that the software update was recently released for the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in Hungary. In fact, screenshots from the website NapiDroid show the redesigned and flatter-looking TouchWiz user interface in action. The Note 4 owners is also believed to have the Galaxy Note 5's Air Command menu, which is activated when the user removes the S Pen from the device that allows quick note taking.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also carries Google's Now on Tap, which brings Google Now's cards and information feature to apps. The App Standby and Doze are also among the new additions. It will save the device's battery life by putting the user's device into a sleep state while not in use. Owners of Galaxy Note 4 will also have more control over what apps are able to access that is due to Marshmallow's new App Permissions feature.

In related news, International Business Times stated on its article that Google has now released factory images of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for its Nexus devices. This update features addition of over 200 emojis.

Since it is the latest version of Android Marshmallow OS, there are speculations indicating that Galaxy Note 5 users will be receiving Android 6.0.1 update in this month.

As far as Samsung Galaxy devices are concerned, the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ are all scheduled to obtain the Android M in January 2016. This OS will be available for Galaxy Note Edge users in February 2016 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 is slated to receive it in April 2016.

Android 6.0 update to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the other hand, is still doubtful considering there are still units all over the globe which haven't received the 5.1.1 Lollipop update. As of this writing, the confrmation regarding these reports hasn't been given yet.
