By

Meizu recently released a powerful smartphone, the Meizu Pro 5, and this handset is expected to have a mini version that will arrive earlier than expected. Despite the scarce infrmation regarding the device, many are already predicting the specs and features it might carry.

According to Android Headlines, the Meizu Pro 5 is the only smartphone outside of Samsung's ecosystem to be powered by the Exynos 7420 14nm 64-bit octa-core SoC. Back in November, there are talks saying that the company is getting ready to announce the smaller version of the Pro 5, the Pro 5 Mini. The company's Vice President, Li Nan, stated that the device might arrive in the first half of next year but there are reports pointing a sooner arrival.

The Meizu Pro 5 Mini is now predicted to arrive before December ends. The China-based analyst, Sun Changxu, said that the company plans to release an all new metal device before the end of this year and it is now assumed that it will be the mini version of Meizu Pro 5.

Christian Post cited some of the speculated features and specs that the Meizu Pro 5 Mini might have and it include the new deca-core (TEN cores) MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and a 4.7-inch wide AMOLED display which is a full inch smaller compared to the Pro 5. This handset may also have a 1080p Full HD resolution, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD slot. There are also rumors claiming that a 64 GB variant will be made available.

As for the Meizu Pro 5 Mini's price, Phone Radar reported that the handset's 32 GB variant could be priced at 1,999 Yuan, approximately $315 or Rs. 20,700. The 64 GB variant on the other hand might be tagged at 2,499 Yuan, approximately $394 or Rs. 25,800.

None of these were confirmed by the Chinese company though, so smartphone enthusiasts still have to wait for further announcements about Meizu Pro 5's specifics.
