The great Quentin Tarantino is set to weave his recent films into one interconnected web of films. Long before Marvel began piecing together their own movies, the Academy Award-winning writer and director already had a concept of stringing his own cinematic universe. This includes his recent film The Hateful Eight and Inglorious Basterds.
Film aficionados have observed that Tarantino's films are somewhat connected and has a subtle bearing with each other. His latest film the Hateful Eight could also be related to his other films. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs actor Tim Roth who plays Oswaldo "The Little Man" Mobray in the post-Civil War western spoke to Huffington Post and said that his character is connected to someone from another Tarantino film. He said, "I won't say which one," Roth said. "He's the great-great-grandfather of one of the characters in Inglourious Basterds."
Also, at a recent New York City press conference, the filmmaker spoke to Indiewire and shared his thoughts on the potential plot and development of Inglorious Basterds 2. The director said that there are black troops that were court-martialed and they escape and so went to France and planned to go to Switzerland - then they ended up getting into an adventure and meet the Basterds.
There has been a theory circulating around the folks in Hollywood that Inglorious Basterds 2 might also be connected to Django Unchained. Rumors said that Jamie Foxx (Django) could be the one of the great ancestor of one of the characters from Inglorious Basterds 2 - or even a relative of Jules Winnfield, played by Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction.
While the filmmaker continues to promote the upcoming release of The Hateful Eight, fans all over the world are hoping that he will give them a massive and an all-star treat by combining The Hateful Eight and Inglorious Basterds into one majestic reel.
