'Heroes Reborn' Spoilers: What To Expect In The Next Three Episodes; Is Season 2 Possible?

Heroes Reborn is the continuation of the defunct series Heroes where evolved humans with superpowers are being hunted. The mini-series, created by Tim Kring, has 16 episodes, where the last three episode will air next year on NBC. Speculations of a second installment have been circulating despite the low ratings. Meanwhile, Claire Bennet's twins will face a very tough and challenging mission.

According to Bustle, the show's premiere episode has had a lot of viewers, which was 6.9 million viewers to be exact, compared to the 4.41 million who tuned into the original Heroes series finale However, the rating was really low at only 2.0. the show has shed nearly half its viewers, down to 3.78 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.

Despite the drop in ratings and viewers, producer and creator Tim Kring is still positive that the show will have a possible second season. Back in August, according to Crossmap, Tim Kring has said that he has always felt the brand was elastic enough and with a broad enough premise. Heroes Reborn has been tagged as a mini-series and both old and new characters have combined to play important roles in the story, yet Kring's statement might pave the way for the show to renew for another season.

Meanwhile, Emily and Tommy will have to face their destiny when Heroes Reborn returns to the small screen next year. Now that Tommy knew about Erica's plans, it is up to him and his twin to gather the Evos and destroy Erica's evil plan.According to International Business Times, Angela has previously predicted that Claire's twins Emily and Tommy will play an important role in destroying Erica's empire. It remains to be seen how the teen twins help their grandfather Noah in order to stop the Renautas mission of human extinction.

Heroes Reborn will return on January 7, 2016 on NBC. The show will also premiere in UK on Channel 5.
