"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Phaedra Parks' husband Apollo Nida faced the court earlier after committing crimes of several fraud cases. He will receive 8 years of sentencing.
"The government did what they had to do," he said on what does he feel about the sentencing. Nida told the press that he'll just accept the consequences of his actions.
Moreover, Reginald G. Moore - an official at Atlanta's Field Office - released a statement about the convict's sentencing. "Today's sentencing exemplifies impartial justice regardless of economic class or perceived celebrity status. Nida's sentence should be an eye opener for other like-minded criminals who scheme to steal victims' identities, defraud them and ignore the consequences of their actions," he says.
Reportedly, Nida's case was categorized in Criminal History Category 4 after his lawyer appeals to level it down from the 5th. Criminal Category range depends on how serious the crime is - 1, being the lowest, (examples are jaywalking, littering, and etc.) and 6, being the highest, (massive killing sprees).
"A criminal history category of V substantially overstates the seriousness of Mr. Nida's criminal past, thus warranting a departure from the Guidelines range," as stated by the officials.
In addition, he has disclosed few criminal minds and justifications that have given him the leniency to cut the "supposed-to-be" 15-30 years imprisonment.
"Mr. Nida's lengthy but early small-time criminal history is simply not in the same league as the 'violent offenders, drug kingpins and perpetrators of far more serious offenses' that Criminal History Category V was designed to address."
He entered the court in Georgia without his wife. According to reports, he was accompanied by Phaedra's mom and brother as the housewife was with American Idol's Fantasia Barrino in Mexico.
What could be the other reason for a vacation? Is she becoming more ashamed of her husband who had stolen a couple of millions of bucks by faking bank accounts and even creating a fake agency of vehicles?
What do you think?
