"Batman: Arkham Knight" Release Date Delayed Until February, Superman to Make a Cameo? [VIDEO]

By

Everyone who played "Batman: Arkham Origins" is doubtlessly looking forward to the release of the game's upcoming sequel, "Batman: Arkham Knight."

But just when is "Arkham Knight" going to be released?

Initially, the game was set for a late 2014 release date, but new information seems to say otherwise. First, a new video was released online, detailing the Batmobile that will be playable in the upcoming sequel (a first for the series- all previous games only had Batman on foot).

At the end of the video, a title card read "Be the Batman: Coming 2015." The video can be seen below.

However, no more information than that was revealed.

Now, on Microsoft's official store, new information may be available. On the product page for "Batman: Arkham Knight," a product listing noted the game's release date as February 24, 2015. However, a little while later, the product page was edited and the release date was changed back to "Not Announced."

The release dates for games are often leaked in this fashion, so this may be a simple mistake (or a placeholder date that was later taken down), or it may have been the real 2015 release date for "Arkham Knight."

While traditionally, the "Arkham" series of games follow only Batman characters, the "Arkham" world has begun to broaden into the rest of the DC Comics universe. The end of the previous game, "Arkham Origins," saw the introduction of the Secret Six, a popular group of DC supervillains.

As well, a new rumor shows that Superman may also be appearing in the game, which would be the first time a non-Batman related major superhero has shown up in one of the "Arkham" games.

Official details on "Batman: Arkham Knight's" release date are not known, but look for more on the story as 2015 draws closer.
