The sixth and final season of hit Fox TV series "Glee" is set to air in 2015. Here are some things that we know about it so far.
It seems likely that old cast members will return. In a Twitter interview in April, Twitter user Ryan Kane asked the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy if "Jayma, Dianna, Dot etc." will return next season "even for an episode or two." Murphy replied "Absolutely."
There are some rumors suggesting that the show will be a bit delayed because of a number of issues concerning the cast members--one of them is the alleged feud between Michele and Naya Rivera (Santana).
Chris Colfer (Kurt) also had his share of controversy. Last month, fans learned from his Twitter account that he has been fired from the show.But it turns out that his account was hacked, it was not Colfer who posted the message. Fox has confirmed that the actor will be back for the final season.
The setting for season 6 is yet to be revealed, but many theories suggest that it will likely happen in Los Angeles, because it is where Rachel (Lea Michele) went in the season 5 finale.
In an interview with Vulture, Murphy said that "the final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is really not New York-centric at all."
Jane Lynch (Principal Sue Sylvester) said that the show will be bringing in a lot of the old cast members. She told Entertainment Weekly: "I think we're going to have some surprises about who's going to be the choir director of The Warblers and who will be the choir director of Vocal Adrenaline. I think it'll be a big surprise."
Neither Murphy nor any of the cast said anything about having Finn (played by Cory Monteith, who tragically passed away last year) in the storyline, but fans are hoping that there would be some sort of tribute for the late actor.
The show's first four seasons had 22 episodes each, and its fifth had 20. For the upcoming season, there will reportedly only be a total of 13 episodes.
Fox has not given an exact date for season 6 yet, but the show is expected to return in early 2015.
