The new trailer for of AMC's hit show "The Walking Dead" has recently been released at the San Diego Comic Con. Here's what we know so far about the upcoming season.

Warning: spoilers ahead.

The Walking Dead panel at the SDCC showed a 3-minute trailer featuring cast members Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), and Danai Gurira (Michonne), Emily Kinney (Beth) and new villain Andrew J. West (Gareth).

In the trailer, we see the crew haggling a job with the people in a train car in a place called Terminus, a place where cannibals possibly live. They're headed for Washington. D.C. hoping to finally get rid of the walkers once and for all.

We also see Rick reunited with Judith, thanks to Carol, and at the end of the trailer, we finally see where Beth is--it looks like she ends up in a hospital with a not-so-friendly officer.

AMC president Charlie Collier released a statement saying that this upcoming Season "is without question the most ambitious and satisfying season this amazing team has ever crafted."

Collier adds: "In the zombie apocalypse, event television is alive and well, and I am proud to acknowledge that this uniquely talented writing staff, production team and cast have once again raised the bar (and the crossbow)."

Judging by the trailer, it's obvious that this season will be pretty intense. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter last month, creator Robert Kirkman said that it's likely that some major characters will meet their demise.

"It's always highly likely, though I wouldn't say that it's any more likely than it ever is, but it is always extremely likely. We did pull back on the reins a little bit at the end of season four." Kirkman said.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 premiere will air on October 12 in AMC.
