The expected fall release of brand-new Apple products would be coming a little early this year, industry observers have said. Citing KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo to Apple Insider, it seemed logical that since the second-generation iPad was released in the second half of the year, the iPad Mini 3, together with iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6, might be released in the third quarter of this year. These reports surfaced after a series of speculations that indicate that the new iPad Mini would not be released within the year.
The bold move purportedly by Apple might have been done particularly because of its current upgrades on the OS, KPopstarz noted. The release of iOS 7.1.1 would be a perfect time for Apple to not only debut its new gadget models, but also update its available models like the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5s.
Closely modeled to the iPad Air, the new iPad Mini 3 is deemed to be a much-better convenient gadget than that of its predecessor. The Epoch Times quoted Taiwan's Economic Daily News, who reported that a lighter and much thinner iPad Mini is expected to be released to the public, making it another much awaited Apple product.Aside from its premiere features, the Asian journal said that a prominent one would be the tablet's thickness, which is said to be reduced by 30%. In addition to its sleek form, it has been also reported that Apple will place a Touch ID feature to the new iPad Mini. This technology is currently available on the iPhone 5s and has improved the smartphone's retina display quality. Moreover, KPopstarz also threw in a rumor that the iPad Mini 3 would be waterproof, although this remains to be achievable in today's tablets.
On the other hand, the sleekness of the tablet has been debunked by MacRumors, who claimed that it would be impossible if Apple decides to include the latest A8 processor and the Touch ID feature.
