Is Megan Fox ready to return to the "Transformers" franchise?
According to the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star, she is willing to reprise her role in "Transformers 5" if director Michael Bay decides to put her in the film.
Fox confirmed to E! News that she and Bay have already resolved their conflict, and she is ready to return to the franchise as whatever character the director has planned her to be.
For those of you who have followed the "Transformers" franchise, Fox was famously replaced by Bay because of her "Hitler" comments, according to the Huffington Post. Fox was later replaced by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Shia LaBeouf's new love interest.
Bay at that time did not take it seriously, and believed that her comments were just part of who she is as a person. Bay was quoted as saying, "I wasn't hurt, because I know that's just Megan. Megan loves to get a response," Bay said. "And she does it in kind of the wrong way. I'm sorry, Megan. I'm sorry I made you work twelve hours. I'm sorry that I'm making you show up on time. Movies are not always warm and fuzzy."
Her inclusion in the "TMNT" film made big headlines because it appears that Bay had a hand in her hiring in the potential franchise. She explained to E! News, "I knew it would blow people's minds. But we had been talking behind the scenes. No one knew. Mike and I have a special relationship. I love Mike and I've always loved Mike. He was really instrumental in casting me in (Ninja Turtles) actually. I owe this movie to him."
Fox's eagerness to appear in the franchise that made her a breakthrough actress echoed in her next statement, which read, "If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it."
On the other hand, Fox explained the difficulty of her and her onscreen leading Shia LaBeouf reprising their role in the series, considering that LaBeouf's character has moved on in the franchise. She was quoted by Movie Pilot as saying, ''Im not sure if ill return. As long as things are good between everyone and Shia returns with me i'd like to see us partner up with the new cast like a crossover.
Labeouf himself also added his two cents about "Transformers 5" and the possibility of him and Fox returning to the franchise. He said, "It would be good to do another film but i doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if me or Rosir both return you know its not that i don't think about it. But no, I highly doubt i'll be back for another one. I'll do another Michael Bay film but not transformers.''
There's no exact date yet on when "Transformers 5" will release, but fans of live-action movies could expect "TNMT" to hit theaters on Friday, August 8th.
