While there is no official renewal for a third season yet, the cast of Lifetime's "Devious Maids" revealed their expectations and plans in case the series will be back for another run, Enstars reports.
Ahead of the last season's finale episode in the UK, Rebecca Wisocky shared with Entertainmentwise her hopes for the show and revealed that everyone in the cast was praying for new episodes to push through.
"Our fingers are crossed! We should know any day now," said Wisocky. "I don't want to spoil the finale for you, but I will say that the season leaves the Powells changed in a fundamental way. How they move forward from there will be a big question. As for what I personally want for Evelyn? I'll let Marc Cherry point the way!" she added.
Wisocky is not the first cast member who expressed their hopes of working on a new season, after news about the show's possible non-renewal surfaced. Earlier, Dominic Adams, who played the lover of Wisocky's character also revealed his desire that a new season will be opened for them.
Edy Ganem and Dania Ramirez, two of the title's maid, also revealed that they are wishing for another season for the Lifetime series.
"Devious Maids" received high ratings during its first season. While its second season received good ratings particularly on its first episodes, the show witnessed how the number o viewers decreased as the season ran.
The decline in rating started as the drama faced tough competition in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays. Some of its competitors include shows of different formats, including HBO's "Silicon Valley" and "The Leftovers", TLC's "Return to Amish," Discovery's "Naked and Afraid," AMC's "Mad Men", Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and "Real Housewives of New Jersey", Adult Swim's "Bob's Burgers," and TNT's "Falling Skies."
