"The Avengers" is a big group, and it's only natural that future sequels in the "Avengers" franchise would want to keep adding to that group.
So far, we know of three superheroes that are confirmed to join the team in next summer's "Avengers: Age of Ultron:" Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and the Vision. But there may actually be a secret fourth superhero joining the team in the upcoming pic.
According to Bad*** Digest, that superhero might be Ms. Marvel- the long-expected female superhero that fans have been clamoring for. Here's what their reports said:
"I have information about multiple drafts of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' and all feature a cameo by a character the script calls Ms. Marvel (nothing else, including civilian name or basic look, is specified). It's a cameo, so it could change at any time, but the character is planned for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a fact."
If Marvel really is planning the cameo as a surprise, this would be gigantic news. And it makes sense, given that Joss Whedon has already announced to Hey U Guys that there will be four main female characters in "Age of Ultron." Whedon said, specifically, that there would be "four prominent female roles," and yet all that's confirmed so far are Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Maria Hill. Ms. Marvel may just be number four.
Paul Bettany also spoke to ComicBookResources about his portrayal of the Vision, and that character's specific superpowers.
"I think there's a lot of, initially in the plot, as it were, a lot of distrust, and that has to be navigated by The Vision, and he does it in a quite extraordinarily shocking way. He gains their trust in a real -- it will be -- it's a real roof-raiser of a moment. Everybody will flip."
Given that the Vision's powers involve controlling his density, Whedon probably has something very creative planned for the Vision and Paul Bettany.
