Penny Dreadful Season 2: Madame Kali is the show Villain; Dorian Gray’s New Lover and Show Producer Struggles for Work Permit?

By

When season one ended, it seemed that what was expected of Madame Kali was not something the show producers had in mind for an ending, so fans will definitely be expected what they had wanted for the Season 2 premiere of Penny Dreadful.

International Business Times calls on the tweet of show producer Christopher King as he revealed a copy of the script for the first episode entitled "Fresh Hell." The title seems to be breathing a lot of darkness into the show's perceived season villain, Madame Kali. Moreover, if the photo of the script is not enough to send fans into excitement, King also posted a photo of skulls on his twitter page, presuming there will be more blood and gore for Kali.

In addition, another character that seems to be heading into a different direction for Season 2 will be Dorian Gray, who was left heartbroken in Season 1 by no less than Vanessa Ives. KDrama Stars points out that Reeve Carney who plays Dorian, reveals that his character has a lot of exciting new things to look forward to and that may include having a new love interest after a supposed broken heart which he will definitely reflect on.

Meanwhile, in production news, it looks like the more horrific take on the show has been a bit more of a struggle - most especially for the production team as the show is filmed mostly in Ireland. Overseas filming does come with a few setbacks in the form of permits, and Enstarz talks about how show producer, Christopher King had to go through immigration to be able to continue filming. On Friday he tweeted, "Glamorous life working overseas on #Penny Dreadful. Spending the morning at immigration getting my work permit."
