One of the best TV series from CBS is NCIS, whic h is said to be starting their 12th season on September 23. One of the suprises that will ensue during the season is the current love interest that will be welcomed by the show for Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly.)
The International Business Times reported that a new character will be joining the show, in the form of Special Agent Leia Pendergast, who will be played by Stephanie Jacobsen from "Revenge." The character's role is undoubtedly meant to infiltrate DiNozzo's heart throughout the season. Moreover, the show's creators have revealed that Tony will be working together with a new agent and things may work out between the two more than just work.
In addition for her acting credits on "Revenge," Jacobsen also starred in "Melrose Place," making her stint on "NCIS" quite different from the other roles she has portrayed. Enstars described Jacobsen's character as, "Armed but feminine, sexy and single, cool and confident." The report also added that Jacobsen's character is a former U.S. Marshal-turned FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force leader, and is flirtatious with a sense of humor. In addition, the character was also described to be "a straight shooter, brash when she needs to be. She isn't afraid to knock down doors or egos."
But fans should not push too much for a quick romance formation between Tony and Leia. The latter's character will be appearing in an episode this October, so audiences should not be expecting any action from the two during the season premiere.
News from Hallels also confirms the idea that the two will be hooking up. Reports have been noting that Tony will be meeting his new love through a case - such a convenient turn of events for DiNozzo as he will be working on a case with Leia involving a terrorist group that is on a hunt for Navy researchers. Fans are soon to find out if the Tony - Leia love story is far better than Tony - Ziva in the coming episodes.
