In an "Arrow" teaser shown at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, the video showed fans of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) something to look forward to in the upcoming season of The CW's comic-book drama.
The short, promotional video starts with Oliver looking like he is keeping a big secret. But the highlight of the newly-released teaser shows the much-anticipated kissing scene of Oliver and Felicity, the Hollywood Reporter said. Executive producer, Greg Berlanti, reassured that the show-runners "weren't trying to fake anybody out with Oliver's confession to her at the end of last year, so we'll deal with that directly this year."
Amell, however, hinted that the "Olicity" date will go "horribly."
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told THR that "Identity" is the main theme of the show's third season, but not limited to the main character, Oliver. He revealed, "It's the first season where this theme of identity is not only about Oliver but is also about all the other characters."
Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that it was also announced at the Comic-Con that the leader of League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul, will be featured in the upcoming season. The iconic DC Comics villain made an appearance in the film "Batman Begins," and was portrayed by Liam Neeson.
Following the announcement, fans of the series developed several speculations on who will play the Ra's al Ghul. Some even speculated that Neeson might be reprising the role for the small screen.
In an interview with MTV, the actor said that he has no reason to say no when asked to portray the villain again. However, the "Taken" star said that he was not asked to take the role. "No, I haven't [been asked], I haven't at all. I would [do it], in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so."
Neeson was also asked if he had some advice for the lucky actor to be chosen for the character.
"They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra's al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it," the actor said.
"Arrow" Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW. Meanwhile, check out that exciting teaser trailer below:
