It is no secret that CBS' The Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular shows on television right now. Seven seasons and a couple of Emmys later, "TBBT" is set to return for Season 8 on September 22.
Listed are the top three things people should look out for during Season 8:
Tension between Amy and Sheldon
Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) talked to Glamour during the Emmys and shared a few "spoilers" that may or may not happen in the show. After deciding to go home to his hometown of Texas in the last episode of Season 7, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) will purportedly emerge in the Season 8 premiere and they both "deal" with the situation they're in. The scene between Sheldon and Amy are expected to be as complicated and hilarious as always. Bialik said that "there's tension in that first episode," but knowing Amy, she is a problem solver and fans should definitely expect her to fix whatever challenge is being thrown at the beloved "ShAmy" love team.
Penny's career change
Kaley Cuoco's character, Penny, was last seen to have quit as a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory. She is also seen pursuing being a pharmaceutical rep at Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) company after realizing she does not need to be a famous actress to be happy but just needs to be with Leonard. The Hollywood Reporter quoted Chuck Lorre, co-creator and producer, who said at the Television Critics Association press tour, "She's going to start making some money, which will unbalance their relationship as the power shifts."
Penny accepted Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) wedding proposal last season after being proposed to several times, so it would also be interesting how Penny plans her impending nuptials.
New episode title and premiere storyline
Season 8's premiere issaid to be titled "Locomotion Interruption". According to a forum post, Sheldon gets robbed on the train, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) is still with Emily (Kate Micucci), while Stuart (Kevin Sussman) gets a little too close with Howard's (Simon Helberg) loud and obnoxious mother.
