Fans of the "Transformers" movie might not see Mark Wahlberg reprising his role in the upcoming installment despite the huge success of "Transformers: Age of Extinction." According to Fans Share, while many fans are expecting the actor to reprise his role in "Transformers 5," Wahlberg chose not to return.
The news has led to speculations that Shia LaBeouf could be coming back in the movie franchise. There are rumors suggesting LaBeouf might return in the upcoming robot-themed movie, alongside Megan Fox, who previously expressed her interest in coming back if Michael Bay wants her to do so.
"If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an Autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it," Fox said during the promotion of another Bay movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
LaBeouf, on the other hand, suggested that he doubts the idea of coming back in the Transformers franchise, but revealed that he does not mind working with Bay for a different project.
The actor commented, "It would be good to do another film, but I doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if me or Rosie both return you know it's not that I don't think about it. But no, I highly doubt I'll be back for another one. I'll do another Michael Bay film, but not transformers."
Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures recently announced their lineup of movies for the coming two years, and it was revealed that "Transformers 5" is slated for release in 2016.
"Age of Extinction" starred Mark Wahlberg as the main character Cade, Yeager who found the Autobot's leader Optimus Prime. Also part of the cast were Kelsey Grammar, Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, and Titus Welliver.
No official announcement has been made yet regarding the final list of cast members for the upcoming movie. Fans, meanwhile, will have to wait until 2016 to see their favorite Autobots and Decepticons battling it out once again.
