"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" Release Date Update: Will The Game Be Influenced by "The Last of Us?"

By

Waiting for the next game in the "Uncharted" series? You're in luck- the next game has been announced, entitled "Uncharted: A Thief's End." We already knew that the game would be a PS4 exclusive, thanks to a report by Christian post that revealed the news.

But now we've got some new information on "Uncharted: A Thief's End." KpopStarz reports the game may be released in the summer of 2015 (although right now, this isn't confirmed). New puzzles may also be a factor- KpopStarz reports that fans have been clamoring for more puzzles in the "Uncharted" series for years- "Uncharted: A Thief's End" may be the installment that finally gives fans what they want.

Another big rumor is that the game may be much more emotional than previous installments of the "Uncharted" series. Usually, "Uncharted" is a lot like "Indiana Jones"- Nathan Drake is a globe-trotting hero on the search of a great treasure, usually with some kind of supernatural twist thrown in at the end.

However, the latest reports claim that the game may take on a much more "The Last of Us"- type feel, with a lot more of an emotional connection between the characters and the player. Hopefully, fans of "Uncharted" will like this change to the series.

Gamepur also published a quote from Christophe Balestra, co-president of Naughty Dog, about how the series will change on the PS4.

"It's like getting a new toy. We're very excited about the possibilities. After several years working on the same machine you kind of just run out [of steam] and you feel like you need something new just to be able to express yourself and push it to the next level. So I think PS4 came at the right time for us - it's definitely opening lots of doors to us that we didn't have before."

The trailer for "Uncharted: A Thief's End" can be seen below.
