Filming and casting details of the highly anticipated sci-fi movie "Star Wars: Episode VII" are still shrouded in secrecy. Nevertheless, fans of the film franchise still get a regular dose of teasers, thanks to rumors spreading online.

One aspect that remains under wraps is the villain in the upcoming installment. According to Latin Post, Darth Plagueis will be appearing in the film, and actor Max Von Sydow will be playing the role. The report also mentioned the return of Ian McDiarmid, who played Darth Sidious aka Emperor Palpatine.

McDiarmid, who played the villain in the "Star Wars" prequels and in "Episode VI," is rumored to be finally reprising his role. No official confirmations were made. However, fans are looking forward to such a surprise from director J. J. Abrams.

Meanwhile, previous reports claimed that Adam River (Girls) and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) will be playing villains in the movie. However, recent photos reveal that the two actors' role might not be taking the bad side at all.

Photos posted by E! Online reveal that Driver might be playing a Rebel pilot as he is wearing an orange fighter suit, flak vest, and black gloves. Before it was officially announced that the actor is joining the cast of "Star Wars," it was reported that he is playing a character "in the vein" of Darth Vader. This also sparked speculations that his character might start out as one of the good guys and end up as a villain.

Maeanwhile, Christie seems to be a new member of the Alliance with her brown tunic, brown pants, and brown boots. It was previously reported that Christie is playing an imperial officer chasing after John Boyega's possible stormtrooper.

Moreover on the filming, a recent from Total-Geeks by reported Ryan Leston claimed that the crew of the movie stopped by in Wales.

From Total-Geeks:

"Welsh 'Star Wars' fans can now say that 'Star Wars VII' has rocked up on their doorstep. And while the multi-million dollar production is yet to film any scenes in our lovely Welsh valleys, they did pitch up tents in Celtic Manor Resort - a luxury, five-star hotel where they stayed for about a week while filming in the Forest of Dean."

According to Starwars7news.com, the reporter apparently got the information from J. J. Abrams himself.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is slated to hit the theaters on December 18, 2015.
