Thor and Loki's fates are decided in the speculated plot of "Thor 3," but a possible twist may leave both brothers alive even as Mjolnir is destroyed.
Things will be hard for the titular character of "Thor 3," shares Breathe Cast. This is if the speculations about the plot are true. According to the article, in the Ragnarok plot, Loki will have a new ally to appear in the movie in the form of the Fire demon called Surtur. As the two manages to head to Asgard, Thor fights them off and loses his hammer.
As shared by a source on Inquisitr, the battle of the two brothers Loki and Thor end up with Thor allegedly ripping Loki's head off. This follows after Thor rejected the throne of his father, which landed on Loki's hands by shape-shifting into Odin's form.
While the most popular speculation in the Ragnarok timeline involves Loki's death, IB Times mentions another theory wherein Loki remains alive, but not exactly whole. "His head would keep on talking while tied to his brother Thor's belt," shares the article.
There are also talks that Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, will be either missing or destroyed. As for Thor himself, some theory says that he might turn mortal after damaging himself or becoming unworthy of the hammer.
Christian Today shares Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, thinking that the Ragnarok or End of Days will be where the story heads. In an interview with Screen Rant, Hemsworth said: "In the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in. Where it's sort of the end of all things." Hemsworth has expressed interest in that idea.
IB Times says that Marvel may be looking into the third installment for Thor now that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is almost upon its release date. According to Christian Today, it is likely that "Thor 3" will be seen on either May 6, 2016, July 8, 2016, or May 5, 2017.
