Because J. J. Abrams is so hesitant to share the story details of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (although he'll have to tell us sometime right? Presumably at least by the time "The Force Awakens" is in theaters), the Internet is crawling with potential leakers, all claiming to have the goods on the latest "Star Wars" story details.
Today marks another such spoiler - one of thousands, surely. Like the others... who knows if it's true? This could just be the ramblings of some random Internet denizen, looking for a few minutes of fame. But, like all other spoilers, it has a chance of being real, so "Star Wars" spoiler-phobes may not want to continue.
Alright, here goes.
Christian Times reports that The Spoiler Man, a regular presence on the 4chan imageboards and someone claiming to have worked at Lucasfilm, has a new set of spoilers for the film.
According to The Spoiler Man, "The Force Awakens" will open on a new resurgence in the Force, manifesting in a great number of new Force users.
The Spoiler Man claims that John Boyega will play "the new Luke Skywalker" in the film, although we can probably assume that means he's the new series-wide protagonist... And not actually Luke Skywalker. Mark Hamill is in this film, after all.
Boyega's character is one of these new Force users, and seeks out Luke Skywalker, who's become a Yoda-like Jedi Master since "Return of the Jedi." However, Luke doesn't seem to recognize Boyega's character- at least according to The Spoiler Man, Luke passes his iconic lightsaber to Daisy Ridley's character instead.
However, a different spoiler from MakingStarWars claims that Kira will open the film with Luke's lightsaber in her possession, and after meeting up with Han and Leia, the group embarks on a journey to give it back. Both MakingStarWars and Latin Post add that in this particular spoiler, Han and Leia aren't on great terms (described somewhere between a bickering married couple and Indiana Jones/Marion Crane), which could add a great new dynamic to the film.
Like we said- there's a million spoilers out there. It's up to you to sort through 'em and figure out which makes the most sense.
