"Longmire" fans have been thirsting for any kind of updates on the new season coming to Netflix - and while "Longmire" writer Tony Tost is finally opening up about the next season's story on Twitter, he's giving out details that no one wants to hear.
Namely: poopburgers.
Yes, that's extremely gross, and no, poopburgers probably won't factor into the next season of "Longmire," but Tost has been talking them up just the same.
Enstars found Tost on Twitter, joking with fans about the potential of... yes, poopburgers in the next season of "Longmire."
Here's what he had to say.
"My 4 & 6 year old sons pitched a #Longmire episode tonight at dinner: Walt eats a poopburger that allows him to survive fire & lightning."
And just when you think a joke like that would end there, Lou Diamond Phillips (one of the stars of "Longmire") jumped in to let this poop joke drag on a little further.
"@tonytost You're in luck! Henry has a great recipe for poopburgers with roasted corn!"
Tony Tost fired back one more time before letting the joke die.
"@LouDPhillips A perfect Thankstaking feast!"
And with that, the potential for poopburgers in season four of "Longmire" was finally put to bed.
Enstars adds that Netflix won't be putting the new "Longmire" episodes into production until March, so all this talk of poopburgers may be the closest thing "Longmire" fans get to actual discussion of story details for at least a few months.
A depressing thought. But it can't be that depressing- after all, "Longmire" did rise from the grave of cancellation to another season on Netflix. With that in consideration, a little poopburger talk is just fine.
Probably. They could be telling the truth, after all. Or maybe Tost will throw in a "poopburger" name-drop to make his kids happy.
