'Game of Thrones' Season 5 special to air in February 2015; HBO hit series the most illegally downloaded TV show of 2014

The season premiere of the fifth season of "Game of Thrones" may still be months away, but HBO sure knows how to keep its legion of fans glued to the series - by means of an upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 5 featurette.

The news comes from fansite Winter Is Coming, who reports that its readers spotted a HBO online schedule that runs six weeks out and reveals that on Sunday, February 8th, at 7:30 PM, a "Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life" special will air. The website claims that the special will be some sort of behind the scenes look for "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

Comicbook.com speculates that if HBO will be airing another "Game of Thrones" special around the same time as last year's "Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing", the upcoming "Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life" would be likely the same feature. The website added that the previous special featured a behind the scenes look at the making of Season 4, cast interviews and new footage.

In the same article, Winter is Coming said that Season 5 will be adding an entire major House for the season, plus a "whole new segment of Westeros we've never been to." With that in mind, the website speculates that the upcoming "Game of Thrones" special could be from a point of view of filming a certain segment or scene.

Meanwhile, with 2014 coming to a close, TorrentFreak rounded up the year's most pirated TV shows - and "Game of Thrones" took the top spot for the most illegally downloaded TV show - for the third consecutive year. TorrentFreak says that the show's season finale garnered a total of 8.1 million illegal downloads through BitTorrent, followed by "The Walking Dead" which was downloaded 4.8 million times and "The Big Bang Theory" with 3.9 million downloads.
