MacBook Pro 2015 To Be Released at WWDC Along with MacBook Air? Killer Features Expected Including Processor

By

Apple's MacBook Pro might be released in June 2015 at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event to be help at Moscone Center, featuring Intel's Broadwell processor. It could be teamed up with MacBook Air with Retina Display for a double release.

Not much is known about the features of the upcoming MacBook Pro so far, but according to PC Advisor, the date to watch out for is June 2015. Mac Rumors says that the WWDC, tentatively dated June 8-12, 2015, could be the launch date of the new MacBook Pro 2015, which might feature Intel's Broadwell chips for "more powerful and efficient processors."

Broadwell chips would mean improvement on MacBook's battery life. Moreover, it will allow for native support on 4k display.

Two versions of MacBook are to be expected, News Everyday shares. MacBook Air with Retina display and the revamped MacBook Pro are rumored to be in the works, with the Retina version expected to drop in the first quarter of 2015, giving it until March to be on the rumored schedule.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina model includes 8GB RAM, and the 15-inch models include 16GB RAM. The same specs are expected on the 2015 model. Both the 13-inch and the 15-inch models of MacBook Pro are expected to be launched, while the MacBook Air could feature a 12-inch screen also with Retina display.

Current MacBook Air variants have 11 inches and 13 inches of screen size. Additionally, MacBook Air may be given a Core M processor instead of the i5 or i7 "full" cores. MacBook Air will feature either 4GB or 8GB of RAM.

If MacBook Air with Retina display does not come by the end of the first quarter, both versions of the new MacBook could be released in the same event. Latino Post shares, "Considering the fact that Apple has unveiled two iPhones (iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus) and two iPads (iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3) in similar occasions, will the new MacBooks join forces in a single event as well?"

MacBook Pro's previous version had Retina display and Haswell processors unveiled on July 2014. Last year, the announcement came without an event, only a press release. If Apple does not reveal the new MacBook Pro in June, a July announcement is also likely.

If the MacBook Pro is released later, it might feature Intel's new Skylake successor, which could bump the release to 2016.

Non-retina versions of MacBook Pro may not see an update and could be discontinued soon. Apple has not made the final announcements yet.
