‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ offers engaging environment for combat mechanics

Rocksteady Studios revealed a few intimate details about the upcoming "Batman: Arkham Knight" game, which would be the final leg of the "Batman: Arkham" game series. The secret to the games, the developers added, was their mantra of letting the gamers become the "Batman."

Rocksteady social marketing manager Gaz Deaves provided amazing details on the "Batman: Arkham Knight" combat mechanics, based on a report from Gaming Bolt. He said that "we've got one central goal that unites everything we do at Rocksteady: make the gamer feel like they are the Batman." He added that "FreeFlowCombat is a big part of creating that feeling, and we've spent a lot of time looking at ways to supercharge that experience for the player."

Deaves also mentioned about the interactive environment on "Batman: Arkham Knight." He said that "this time around the gamers can use parts of the environment against their enemies, like dropping a ceiling light on a thug's head or pulling an air conditioning unit off the wall for a quick knockout." He added that "this opens up a positional element to the gameplay, because if the gamer is paying attention to the environment, they can use it too."

But there's more to interactive environment that "Batman: Arkham Knight" could offer, as Deaves revealed that gamers could now rob their enemies of weapons. He said that "we've also introduced a weapon steal system, allowing Batman to confiscate enemy weapons like lead pipes, and turn those weapons against the thugs."

Meanwhile, not only were there developments on the "Batman: Arkham Knight" combat mechanics. The super-villains also had some upgrades. Deaves went out to discuss these details; among these was for the main super-villain in the game, the Scarecrow. He revealed that "Scarecrow is easily my favourite Batman villain - he's an expert in the use of fear, just like Batman, and he thrives in situations where his opponents are second-guessing themselves; that makes him incredibly interesting because gamers never know what to expect or what to believe."

"Batman: Arkham Knight" would be released on June 02nd. Gamers could expect a dark theatrical end to the game series.
