Rock Band 4, since it was announced to release this year, hyped fans who anticipated this exciting music gaming. However, it was reported that same old peripherals will be included in the gameplay -- making it nothing interesting and thrilling.
Though Harmonix recently revealed that there would cool soundtracks to include for the song choices for each music gaming and new instruments for the players to enjoy, yet, the same old peripherals will likely be used in the upcoming Rock Band 4.
Reports said, "[Rock Band 4] won't have any new features. Even aesthetically, they won't deviate far from the traditional Stratocaster shape, given Harmonix's ongoing relationship with Fender."
Harmonix believed that they will stick to what Rock Band has to offer to fans in general. Perhaps, that belief lead the team not to improvise something or even update design including the peripherals of the previous series, as saying, "The unnecessary proliferation of expensive peripherals helped kill off the music genre, afte all, and launching with a new range of essential fake instruments would be in conflict with Harmonix's current beliefs."
With that being said, there will be no other features or new improvements that will be done for the game since it will be using the Stratocaster design for the game appearance -- noted to have the same from the previous series.
However, Rock Band 4 though it might appear usual, but previously, it was also noted that it will be sold for such higher prices. Harmonix Music Systems Chief Executive Officer Alex Rigopulos said, "In terms of pricing, [raising] is possible."
Another disappointing part will be it doesn't work well with Rock Band 3's Keytar, though the entire game will be similar to the previous. Ironically, it is not compatible for upcoming sequel to focus on bass, guitars, drums as well as vocals.
There is no direct word from the game developer themselves regarding this move against its rival "Guitar Hero" series, with updated instruments, and more.
Rock Band 4 will be released in Ps4 and Xbox One this year.
