Korn is making big plans in recording their new album which will be a follow up to their "The Paradigm Shift" last 2013. Brian "Head" Welch, the band guitarist, wants to record a "heavier" and "more uptempo" studio album but it is still up to the whole group to decide. Amidst the current plan to record their new album, David Silveria, the group's former drummer, is suing the group for not allowing him to go back to the group after his hiatus.

HEAVIER AND MORE UPTEMPO

Brian "Head" Welch was recently interviewed and he revealed several details for the Korn new album which they intend to record soon. The guitarist said that "We're talking at the moment about taking a couple of months off and going in straight away as it will probably take the rest of the year for us to do the album." However he revealed that there aren't anything written yet but he wanted to "go heavy" with their new album.

Even though Korn is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album he said that he was hoping they would move forward in recording their latest album and he wants "to do some more faster-tempo stuff again." He further explained that "When KORN wrote songs, we would think about the live show, because... I think you can write good songs all day long, but if they're not fun live, then you're stuck playing them for years."

DRUMMER SUES BAND

In related news, the former drummer of Korn, David Silveria will be suing the band for the money they owed him for not taking him back to the group after his long hiatus. Silveria says that he has an "ownership interest" in the band since his "hiatus" last 2006. Ray Luzier was brought to the group to fill in for the former drummer.

David Silveria was also upset with Korn for not taking him back considering that they have accepted back Brian "Head" Welch last 2012 who initially left the group last 2005 in order to straighten out his life. Welch has been known to be a meth-head and has been having trouble with substance abuse.

Korn will be recording their new album this year despite the fact that David Silveria, the band's former drummer, will sue them. Brian "Head" Welch hopes that they get a "heavier" and "more uptempo" new album this time compared to their "The Paradigm Shift" 2013 album.
