Disney Studios has recently released some new "fun facts" about the upcoming superhero flick, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which reveal how the sequel can potentially surpass the success and awesomeness of its predecessor, The Avengers.
The fun facts reveal Scarlet Witch's true powers, the setting where much of the film took place, as well as the Avengers team members who got upgraded weapons and costume changes, according to Comic Book Movie.
For instance, Bruce Banner a.k.a. Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will no longer be caught in a cringe-worthy situation of "being half-naked in shredded clothing when he Hulks out," thanks to his new stretchy pants made of high-tech, microfiber fabric.
Fans of Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will be delighted as the master archer received an upgrade to his weaponry, courtesy of Tony Stark. Aside from the "many new arrow tips that serve different purposes," Hawkeye's quiver has become "more automated and faster-loading," while his bow got added features such as an "infrared-sighting device and a sonic-sighting device."
The shield of Captain America (Chris Evans) also welcomed an exciting change. Now it has "the ability to be called back, much like the Iron Man suits." It also now has "a magnetic element that clips onto Cap's gauntlet." Similarly, the butt-kicking beauty Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) got "new fighting batons, which are based on Escrima Sticks."
The "fun facts" list also includes details on the enormous new Avengers Tower set, which is said to be "the largest set ever built for a Marvel film." It has many different levels and serves as the setting for most parts of the film. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Tower is designed and built by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and is used as the gathering place for the team.
Other fun facts in the list reveal the fantastic powers of new characters, including Wanda a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Pietro Maximoff or Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and the Vision (Paul Bettany.) Wanda has a telekinesis power while Pietro is lightning fast. Vision, an artificial life form with a truly unique look, is said to possess spectacular powers and represent "a new power base for the The Avengers team."
Now with all these seemingly invincible superheroes joining together in one film, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can surely look forward to an exciting summer flick. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1.
