Now that Marvel Cinematic Universe has confirmed the inclusion of "Captain Marvel" in their list, many are asking if the female superhero will appear or even have a cameo in the other upcoming Marvel movies. Possible plots could however include Tony Stark in the female-led superhero movie.
Reports are quick to surface to clarify that Carol Danvers won't be appearing in Marvel's summer superhero blockbuster "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Marvel President Kevin Feige said that fans don't have to watch out for Captain Marvel's introduction in the movie since there will be none. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" director James Gunn also debunks the claims that Danvers will be included in the intergalactic movie.
Why does it seem that everyone is denying "Captain Marvel" some screen time? Well simply because the production is still at its early stages. The movie is slated to hit the theaters on July 6, 2018 and is part of MCU's Phase 3 plot so Marvel still has many hit superhero films in their hands that need a more-focused promotion. Perhaps by 2017, we could expect a "Captain Marvel" teaser trailer to somehow compete against DC's Wonder Woman, which will be released on the same year.
Meanwhile, as early as now, possible plots for "Captain Marvel" are circulating online. As most of the fans know, Danvers is involved with Tony Stark. Maybe that angle could be included in her first standalone movie or it could also be a way for Danvers to cameo in another MCU movie "Iron Man 4." Other report suggest that "Captain Marvel" should tackle the background of the heroine's superpower through flashbacks.
Marvel definitely has to take some time to ponder over the possible storyline of "Captain Marvel" if they really want to stand a chance of competing against (if not beating) the record that DC's Wonder Woman movie will set a year earlier.
