In just a few hours, PC gamers would soon be getting their hands in one of the most anticipated games early this year, "Grand Theft Auto V." The game's PC Edition release date had been moved several occasions due to improvements on the game's quality; however, it seemed that Rockstar Games had planned about releasing a PC edition all along since day one.
"Grand Theft Auto V" PC Edition would be live by 12AM in the UK, which would be a bit earlier in North America. Before that, Rockstar revealed that they always had PC gamers in mind when they created "GTA 5," based on a report from DSOGaming. In an interview, Rockstar Games said that "we planned from day 1 for a PC build and we made technical decisions based off the fact that we would be doing a PC version of the game. While we started development of the PC version quite early, we decided to focus the bulk of our attention on the PS3 and XB360 versions first in order to push that as far as we possibly could."
Apart from that, it was also revealed that Rockstar Games had been working with PC support as early as 2013. The game developer said that "the process of bringing GTA 5 to PC was most similar to our last PC title, Max Payne 3. Our process of bringing titles to PC has evolved over the years. We knew that we would eventually create a PC version so early development was done in parallel with the console versions. In fact, some of the early preparations we made for PC, like 64 bit & DX11 support, paid off very handsomely when the PS4 and Xbox One architectures were announced."
Meanwhile, PC gamers would be delighted to learn that "Grand Theft Auto V" PC edition would be launched with an extensive "Director Mode." The "Director Mode" would allow gamers to save sections of the game and so much more, based on a report from BleedingCool. Rockstar Games said that "the Rockstar Video editor in 'GTA V' features a number of significant improvements. This starts at the recording level, where players now have the option to start and stop their captures at will. We have also added a brand new feature known as 'Director Mode'. This gives users the ability to play and record using any actor from 'GTA V' such as story and heist crew characters, members of the ambient population and even animals."
Add to that, gamers would not only be expecting "Grand Theft Auto V" this week; another giant title would be set for release this week, based on a report from WarpZoned. NetherRealm's "Mortal Kombat X" would be set 25 years after the previous game's plot and would be bringing in to the arena old as well as new fighters, including some characters from popular horror movies in the past.
Now, both "Grand Theft Auto V" and "Mortal Kombat X" would have PS4, Xbox One and PC editions.
