It seemed that the massive reveal that inundated the parched imaginations of "Mortal Kombat" hardcore fans regarding the entire cast of "Kombaters" in "Mortal Kombat X" was actually a mistake. It so happened that the roster was included in a pre-order advertisement before the NetherRealm Studios was prepared to leak them.
Traditionally, NetherRealm Studios was used to giving out trickles of information to their avid fans before launching an installment of the "Mortal Kombat" franchise. However, in the latest installment "Mortal Kombat X," gamers were given a well of information regarding who's who in the upcoming game. Add to that, the information provided to the gamers included playable characters that were, in one way or another, petitioned by avid fans to be included in the game; these would be Jason Vorhees and the Predator.
Now, the smorgasbord of information containing the playable characters was first seen on an Xbox Store advertisement about "Mortal Kombat X" as well as pre-orders for the Kombat Pack DLC. Because of this incident, the game developers eventually confirmed the contents of the advertisement on their tweets.
The result of such mistimed leaks were noticed by some gamers who suspected that the game developers mishandle the leaks that were supposed to tease gamers about what to expect in the game. Those who've noticed the lapses on the leaks even observed the leak anomaly regarding Liu Kang, which was not featured in any of the 22 teasers uploaded in the game's YouTube channel; however, Liu Kang was mentioned in the DLC pack because of the free skin.
Add to that, a few gamers who have been waiting for Tremor to be part of "Mortal Kombat X" were somehow disappointed as Tremor was merely featured as part of an extremely short teaser, which also included two horror movie characters.
Regardless of the alleged mishandling of the leaks, "Mortal Kombat X" would be launched on April 14th for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS, Android and the PC.
