Mortal Kombat X: The Best Game of the Series Reason Include New Characters, Gratifying Gameplay and More

After the successful release of Mortal Kombat X, fans of the series and critics alike seem to agree that this might be the best game of the series yet. Ever since the Mortal Kombat franchise hit the game world on its first release, fans are quickly hooked to the side-scrolling fighting beat-em-up. However, after continually revamping the series after each title instalment, NetherRealm studios have finally reached a point where they've hit sweet spot.

IGN gave positive reviews for the game and praised NetherRealms attempt to new characters and superb gameplay, citing them as reasons for turning Mortal Kombat X, the best game of the series. IGN pointed out that the addition of "honest-to-goodness new characters; not palette swaps or tweaked alternate versions of existing ones," is a major factor that made Mortal Kombat X a fresh take on an old theme.

Aside from this, the collection of new gameplay mechanics, styles and outlandishly upped fatalities, brutalities and a new x-ray finishers really turned Mortal Kombat X into a gaming monster. The graphic, yet satisfying through hilarious killing moves is so good that in some instances, it become the goal why one wants to win a fight.

In the visual side of the game, many are content with the graphics on both PS4 and Xbox One. Though hyping fans with reaching 1080p and 60fps, the reality shows that frame rates dips down on certain situations in the game, though it does not break the experience. Eurogamer posted a handy "face-off" between PS4 and Xbox One.

A surprising observation made by the site shows that Xbox reached 1080p for the game, though the normal 900p settings, Xbox One uses. This shows that gaming designers are finally working around the limitations of Xbox One to level the playing field for both consoles.
