German fan writes to Kojima, del Toro to rethink canned 'Silent Hills' project; PS4 with pre-installed 'Silent Hills' demo auctioned at e-Bay

A few gaming enthusiasts would never say die as one of them wrote a petition asking for the revival of the now defunct "Silent Hills" project. On the other hand, the playable teaser for the once highly anticipated game was already pulled out from the PlayStation Store. Apart from that, PS4's with the game's pre-installed demo were now being auctioned at e-Bay.

Yauheni Zinkevich, a gamer from Germany, wrote a petition addressed to Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro and asked them to reconsider the cancelled project. The petition now had over 1000 signatures in just three days, based on a report from WCCFTech. Below would be a copy of the "Silent Hill" fan's petition letter:

"Dear Hideo and Guillermo,

Hearing the cancellation of one of the most anticipated horror games is about the most heartbreaking thing horror fans had to swallow this year.
Since the first sight of the P.T Demo it was instant love, and it burned into the minds of everyone that this had to release at some point.

Although the reasons are not yet announced I am begging you along with countless others: Please continue the Development on Silent Hills, if the issue is money related, we would love to see a Crowdfunding campaign like Kickstarter to ensure you are getting all the financial help there is! We´d love to see it happen at some point and want to thank you for all the great games you have released so far!"

Meanwhile, the game developer of "Slient Hills" already pulled out the Playable Teaser of "Silent Hills" from the PlayStation Store. On the other hand, Konami had not yet stated that reason behind the pull-out of the P.T., based on a report from Gamespot. However, there were earlier reports that a power struggle between the publisher and director Hideo Kojima might be the reason behind the cancellation of the project.

As for the gamers who had not yet experienced the demo of the game, a few PS4s had been auctioned at e-Bay; the PS4s come with a pre-installed copy of the "Silent Hills" demo and their price range could reach up to US$1000, based on a report from CinemaBlend.

"Silent Hills" was a project of Konami and supposedly was to be developed by Kojima Productions that would be launched by 2016. The horror survival game would have also involved director Guillermo del Toro and screen actor Norman Reedus.
