Jason Voorhees Finds New Home In Mortal Kombat X; Serial Killer Fits Just Right In

By

After being branded as a serial killer of epic proportions, Jason Voorhees, the Friday 13th killer, finds a new home in Mortal Kombat X. The gory fatalities and insane brutalities makes the handsaw wielding killer blend in nicely with the rest of the vicious cast.

Mortal Kombat X is currently the fastest selling title in the franchise and is arguably the best selling game of week 16 and 17, 2015 as surveyed by Videogamesblogger on US, UK, Japan and European Amazon sites.

From the start, MKX have teased fans of the series that Jason will be one of the DLCs for the game. Many are thrilled, but some were skeptic as to how Jason would fit into the cast of a fighting game that is more than two decades old. However, when trailers of Jason came out, many became content that Jason Voorhees fits snuggly into the ensemble of blood-thirsty fiends.

Wielding his iconic handsaw, Jason will saw his way through the roster of characters literally as the killer's fatality moves show gruesome flesh-hacking skill that is eye-cringing for the weak-hearted. The in-game version of Jason is an imposing individual, tall, buffed and with the hockey mask. Entering the game out of the shadows, he drags a victim with his saw still stuck deeply into the corpse's head signifying to his opponents the fate that awaits them.

Aside from Jason's import, Mortal Kombat X will also bring in the Predator, which is supposed to come out next, though no date has been officially announced. Teasers of the new import character was revealed through IGN, however it may be that MKX will hold back the Predator DLC for an grandiose release on E3, though an earlier release is much plausible.

The Jason DLC will be part of a characters DLC pack released on May 5, but Jason himself may be acquired separately on its individual release on May 12.
