"Assassin's Creed" fans would be expecting something new on their favorite video game franchise as Ubisoft teased the upcoming title in the series with a picture on the game's website. The teaser picture pointed to Victorian England as the possible setting for the next "Assassin's Creed" title.
Ubisoft posted the teaser picture on the game's website with a note at the bottom of the page that read "World Premier Event May 12th, 9AM PDT." The teaser picture which gave a glimpse of what "Assassin's Creed" fans would be expecting in the upcoming title in the series included a set of brass knuckles, with the words "strength through loyalty" engraved on the handle. Apart from that, there were also phrases carved on the wooden platform where the brass knuckles was laid; among these phrases was "God save the Queen."
Meanwhile, members of the gaming community point to the name of a bird, "Rook," which was also carved on the picture as well as the phrase "We forge the chains we wear in life" that was taken from Charles Dicken's "The Cricket on the Hearth." These references pointed to the British Empire during the time of Queen Victoria, based on a report from DualShockers.
On the other hand, there had been reports of the upcoming "Assassin's Creed" title as early as last year, based on a report from GameSpot. The leaked title of the upcoming game was "Assassin's Creed Victory" and it would indeed be set at Victorian London. The game was also reported to be released on PS4, Xbox One and the PC. On the other hand, Ubisoft did not make any formal announcements regarding the upcoming title at that time except for confirming reports that the Quebec studio would be handling the project.
Ubisoft's Quebec studio had also helped in previous "Assassin's Creed" titles, based on a report from ComingSoon. The studio made major contributions on the series and even headed the DLC campaigns for "Assassin's Creed III" and "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."
Avid fans would be hearing more about the upcoming "Assassin's Creed Victory," which was also assumed as the only "Assassin's Creed" title for this year, on May 12th.
