After an intense introduction with the Gorilla Grodd in the episode 21 entitled "Grodd Lives," it looks like the odds are not in the favor of Barry as the teaser for the penultimate episode of television series "The Flash" has been released by The CW. In the said promo, Barry Allen/Flash decides to team up with his rival Captain Cold to take down villainous Reverse-Flash also known as Harrison Wells. However, as things turn to disarray because of Captain Cold, an aid will arrive in the names of Arrow and Firestorm.
Going back to the previous episode "Grodd Lives," Iris West (Candice Patton) is having doubts on her friendship with Barry/Flash (Grant Gustin). She knows that Barry is the Flash, but Flash doesn't know she knows. When Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) was captured by Reverse-Flash/ Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Iris told Barry what happened but, the latter said that the Flash should help put and she needs not to worry about it. But Iris is still dubious.
Now, Barry went to STAR labs, with Iris secretly following him. Seeing Barry unmasked in his Flash costume, she told that she already knows Barry's secret and she can't trust him anymore. There went some little drama about protecting Iris. Fast tracking, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Iris' father, is moving a shipment of gold across town but is hampered by thieves. Before they can harm Joe, Flash showed up and discovered that one of the thieves is General Eiling.
But the thing is, it's not really General Eiling, it's the Grodd. He took full control of Eiling and used him as a mouthpiece. Soon they found out that Wells and Eiling experimented on Grodd, which turned the gorilla into a psychic, highly intelligent being. Soon, Grodd was out in the open, stronger than ever and is wreaking havoc across the city.
As for the episode 22 dubbed "Rogue Air," the trailer showed that team Arrow has to take down Reverse-Flash. With no other option to choose, Barry will team up with his roguish rival, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). But villains are villains, and Captain Cold is no exception. The rogue will cause havoc to the city as he releases the meta-human prisoners from STAR labs.
And as things look very dismal for our superheroes, and as everyone realizes that Captain Cold cannot be trusted, Flash will find a way to seek help. This is when "The Arrow" actors Stephen Amell as Arrow himself and Robbie Amell as Firestorm will join the fight against Reverse-Flash. Since "The Flash" is a spin-off from "The Arrow," that makes this episode very exhilarating.
The episode "Rogue Air" is written by Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing and is directed by Doug Aarniokoski. The official synopsis reads: "As Wells (Tom Cavanagh) once again gets the upper hand on the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he needs to make a big move and reaches out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), for help. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) warn Barry that Cold can't be trusted. True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells. As things seem to be going from bad to worse, The Flash gets reinforcements - Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell)."
Fair enough. Since the finale is nearing, what do you think of "The Flash" so far this first season? Do you think it is good enough for a season two? Don't miss this penultimate episode on Tuesday, May 12 on The CW as the battle between Flash and Reverse-Flash starts.
