The interest of fans in "Thor" has become massive after a scene in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and as the movie is now the main focus of Marvel, it has been rumored that one of the Infinity Stones will be featured in the "Thor 3: Ragnarok." As we remember, several of these Infinity Stones have been revealed in other Marvel films. It was also speculated that Surtur will be Thor's main rival in the film.
While the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is hitting the worldwide box office records, it can not be denied that the film holds a special part in the future Marvel flicks. As we remember, the ending focused on the Infinity Stones yet again. Apparently, there are six Infinity Stones in the MCU, and the half of them were revealed in the previous Marvel films already.
For instance, the Aether or Reality Stone has been forwarded to the The Collector for protection. It was showed at the end of "Thor 2: The Dark World." The Power Stone that Star-Lord and friends found was also handed to the Nova Corps in Xandar. It was featured at the end of the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie. On the other hand, the third one is the Mind Stone, which currently is in Vision's forehead. It was recently revealed at the end of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
Since the exposure of the Mind Stone is nothing new, it was speculated that the remaining Infinity Stones will be introduced to the upcoming pics of Marvel. And with that, let's break it down. "Ant-Man" will be releasing on July this year, so most likely one wouldn't be found there. The same with "Captain America: Civil War," which will mainly feature a stand-off.
The most probable choices would be "Doctor Strange" or the second installment of the "Guardians of the Galaxy." And with Spider-Man back at the arms of Marvel, most likely, there is chance that one of the stones will be found on his reboot film. This is now the entrance of "Thor 3: Ragnarok," which is also a very good candidate. And how so?
The third installment of "Thor" is rumored to play a crucial role in the phase three of MCU as it is said to further set in place the plans of the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) in preparation for the "Infinity Wars," Movie Pilot reports. Additionally, the Space Stone has been hidden in Odin's vault and it is located in Asgard. Some speculations claim that Thanos would first sue this stone.
Moreover, as the scene in "Ultron" that implied the downfall of Asgard, fans have been wondering who the God of Thunder will rival in the upcoming flick. Speculates by Youth Health Mag, fire giant Surtur, could be one of the MCU's antagonist in the film. However, Surtur won't be coming alone, Den of Geek noted. Since Loki was implied to be disguising as Odin, there is no way that Marvel will leave the God of Mischief, Madness and Evil alone.
So there. It would be a whole new predicament for our God of Thunder again. So what do you think will happen in the next "Thor" movie? Will one of the Infinity Stones show up finally? Let's just see as "Thor 3: Ragnarok" will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
