Destiny to receive two more updates prior to official release of House of Wolves expansion

By

Bungie is burning the midnight oil in anticipation of House of Wolves finally being released for Destiny, as the game's developer is set to release two more updates before the big one arrives.

The first of the two, update 1.2.0, is set to be released on May 12. This update is expected to add some of the finishing touches to the game as it prepares for House of Wolves.

According to Gamezone, this update was actually released last week, but since Bungie has yet to activate it, the official release date will be on the 12th. Patch notes for this update are expected to be made available as soon as it is officially launched.

The second update, known as 1.2.0.1, will arrive a week later, on the 19th, and this is the one which will active the House of Wolves expansion. Similar to 1.2.0, the patch notes for this one will also be available on the date it is to be released.

News of the two supplementary updates comes in the wake of Bungie releasing their longest teaser for House of Wolves so far.

The entire video provides nearly up to six minutes of new game footage for fans to fawn over.

The new video also shows off the bosses coming to Destiny, while also providing a sneak preview at the expansion's storyline, according to Gamespot.

Also shown in the video are some of the new features coming to the game, including the Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders.

Bungie looks like it has the hype game handled pretty well, with the three live-stream events for House of Wolves combining for over 1.5 million views, according to Forbes.

Keep in mind that these are just previews, so it's clear that enthusiasm for the game has been revitalized by the upcoming expansion.

House of Wolves launches on May 19 for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
