Strategic and phenomenal Google Nexus 2015 devices coming: LG- and Huawei-made phones with Android M and Project Fi

By

Various reports seem to contradict one another regarding the upcoming Google Nexus 2015. It was previously rumored that the next Google Nexus would be made by LG, while a recent report said that Huawei is being tapped by Google to develop their Nexus flagship smartphone. However, this might surprise Google Nexus fans as there are speculations that there might be "two Nexus phones" coming out this year.

These will eventually be run by the Android M OS, and with a Project Fi subscriptions.

Google Nexus 2015 smartphones strategic

Taking it with a grain of salt, Artem Russakovskii mentioned two smartphone makers who will be maufacturing Google's Nexus 2015 phones. One will be coming from Huawei and the other will be manufactured by LG.

Russakovskill said, "We've seen reports of a possible Huawei Nexus phone before, and the day before this new article here came out, one of our good sources reached out to say there is indeed a Huawei Nexus planned, in 5.7-inch size."

He also added, "What's more interesting, the source also mentioned a second Nexus phone this year - an LG, with a planned 5.2-inch screen size."

The LG is expected to "target the high-end," while Huawei could possibly "aim for the low-cost market. LG already proved its "solid work" on Google's former Nexus devices, and others are positive that LG would be successful in producing another solid Nexus smartphone. On the other hand, Huawei is a known Chinese manufacturer whose devices are packed with specs that "rival the big brands such as Apple and Samsung, but at significantly lower prices." With these two releases, Google seems to be trying to break Apple and Samsung's bulwark.

Google Nexus 2015 smartphones specs and release date

The specifications of the Huawei-made device were hinted by a well-known analyst from China, Pan Jiutang. He reportedly revealed that Huawei's Nexus device is going to feature a 5.7-inch OLED display made by Samsung and will have a 2K resolution. The phone will also have Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU.

As far as the specs of the LG-made Google Nexus 2015 is concerned, only its 5.2-inch size is being mentioned. However, previous rumors said that it might be similar with LG's G4 that came out with a 2560x1440 pixel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, and others.

In terms of the release date of the two Google Nexus 2015 smartphones, Google normally launches new Nexus phones in line with the roll out of their latest Android OS, which is expected to be Android M. It is likely that the company would release their flagship devices sometime in later part of 2015.

Speaking of Android M, its features are not ordinary. Leaks revealed that the OS is going to allow users more control options over information sharing, Voice Access, Nearby, brand new Material Design, and many more.

More than that, Project Fi would make Nexus 2015 owners save a lot of data cost.

If these rumors turn out true, users could choose a high-end LG-made 5.2-inch Nexus 2015 running an Android M or a low-cost Huawei-made 5.7-inch Nexus 2015 running the same Android OS. Further, both could possibly have Project Fi subscription.

Nevertheless, these should be taken with a grain of salt as Google is yet to release official statements.
