Mortal Kombat X Gets Massively Updated With Latest Patch; Classic Reptile Costume Revived and More

By

Mortal Kombat X gets a thorough update with its latest patch, fixing many issues and improves gameplay mechanics. The patch also brought back Reptile's old, classic green costume, which may start off a trend of classic costumes becoming available on future updates and a new, interesting finishing move.

According to post released by wbgames.com, the latest Mortal Kombat X patch adjusts various game mechanics to improve the overall fighting experience. The post enumerates what the patch improves and what elements in the game get adjusted. However, most gamers are more interested on the gameplay visuals the patch will bring and they are not disappointed.

A ridiculously violent addition to the game's overflowing amount of violence is grabbing hold of an old woman and using her as a murder weapon. The Old lady brutality or "Blanche" brutality allows gamers in the Outworld Market stage to grab an unsuspecting old woman in the background, hurl her towards an opponent, which in turn causes a dazed character to viciously explode. Mortal Kombat's iconic violence has been the reason for its success and creators at NetherRealms Studios sure knows their violence.

Next on the list of updates is Reptile's Klassic costume. This is the first of the "free" skins released after Ed Boon promised free costumes in upcoming patches. The Reptile skin brings back good old memories of classic Mortal Kombat titles for the Arcade platform, SNES and PSX. Gamers may expect more classic costumes to be released in the future, though Ed Boon haven't stated that bringing back old, iconic Mortal Kombat costumes is their aim.

Mortal Kombat X continues to be considered as the best in the franchise and one of the best fighting games of 2015. It ranked top in charts and was top selling game last April 2015. According to IGN, GTA V ranked second last April as Mortal Kombat X reigned supreme and continues to do so. Mortal Kombat X is now available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
