The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has been one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, and with the game now in the hands of players all over the world, patch notes have also been released for its day one update.
Included in the day one patch are the normal bug fixes and game enhancements that are seen with just about any other day one patch for almost every game. The day one patch for The Witcher 3 is also expected to cut down on instances of texture pop-in, according to Gamespot.
Other, more specific changes to the game were also detailed in the day one patch. One major change coming via the day one patch will be the support for DLC, which is going to be essential since the game is set to receive a lot of free content in addition to the upcoming over 30 hour expansion pack that CD Projekt Red will release later on.
Quest and game fixes are also coming courtesy of the initial patch, according to Games Radar. Game elements such as journal objectives, quest mapping, dialogue flags, quest balancing, and scene triggering are going to be fixed with cosmetic quest enhancements also set to be implemented.
The overall gameplay system will also be improved by the addition of the day one patch for The Witcher 3. Boat behavior is going to be affected by the day one patch and AI will also be improved. UI optimizations and NPC spawn strategy improvements are also coming via the patch.
Combat balancing will also be better for The Witcher 3. Xbox One copies of the game will also be dynamically adjusted from 900p to 1080p for the players, according to Gamespresso.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has already tallied over 1 million pre-orders and has also rated highly amongst well-known video game critics.
