"Empire" is by far one of the most successful shows on television following its season one finale, which drew in a total of 16.7 million viewers. Now that the series is gearing up for season two, Trai Byers teases that Andre will try to find his identity, as he struggles between taking on the role of a father and getting over the death of Vernon. Bryshere "Yazz" Gray hints that Hakeem will go through a "transition" that will affect the Lyon family.

Fans of the Fox series, "Empire" will still have a long time to wait before Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) return for all-new episodes. Fox CEO Gary Newman previously teased fans that the hip-hop drama series is bound to blow them away, especially with the addition of new guest stars in season 2.
Jussie Smollett hinted that Jamal Lyon will be going through a big transition, as he takes the center stage of the Lyon empire following the imprisonment of his father, Lucious Lyon. Jamal previously shied away from being put in such position, but he will gradually realize that he likes being in control of the empire.
Meanwhile, Trai Byers revealed that season 2 will pick up right where season one ended. With regards to his character, Byers revealed that Andre will be struggling to find his identity, as he mourns for the loss of his mentor, Vernon and the fact that he will be a father soon.
Bryshere "Yazz" Gray, on the other hand, hinted that Hakeem will be going through a "transition" in season two, not just in the way he dresses, but also in a way that would affect the Lyon family.
"I can't tell you if it's good or bad. But the Lyon family, it's very dysfunctional right now," he said.
The rapper-turned-actor revealed that he is nothing like his character in the series, but he is grateful that he gets to style his own character. Gray also remarked that filming for "Empire" season two begins in a few weeks.
