Disney/Marvel movie Big Hero 6 is set for a sequel. Big Hero 7 is confirmed by Marvel executive producer Stan Lee. Rumor has it that the sequel will start its production after Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Since the release of the hit Disney/Marvel movie Big Hero 6, fans of both the animation and the comic book are dying to find out what will happen to Hiro and his lovable and huggable pal Baymax. Need not worry because Marvel executive producer Stan Lee himself confirmed that there will be Big Hero 6 sequel.
Fans dubbing it Big Hero 7 say that Tadashi, Hiro's big brother and Baymax's creator, might be alive and be back at the sequel. But as a villain?
One of the theories online said that Tadashi might be alive and be back as Sunfire, one of the original members of the Big Hero 6 who can absorb heat and can tranform it into plasma.
Neither Disney nor Marvel have announecd a plot or title for the sequel and release date. But it is rumored that Big Hero 7 will start its production right after the sequel of Guardians of the Galaxy.
In a recent interview, Lee might have hinted the production and release date of the upcoming sequel.
"After 'Ant-Man,' we're going to start playing around with 'Doctor Strange,' the 'Black Panther,' 'The Inhumans,' and then we have to come back for 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2,' 'Big Hero 6,' 'The Avengers,' 'Captain America,'" said comic book writer and Marvel executive producer Stan Lee.
Since Guardians of the Galaxy 2's release date is set on May 5, 2017, it can be speculated that the Big Hero 6 sequel, Big Hero 7 will be released late 2017 or early 2018.
As of now, the details for Big Hero 7 are all just speculations. Marvel and Disney have yet to hint or announce the final details of the anticipated Big Hero 6 sequel. One thing's for sure though, Baymax is gonna give us a one massive hug once again.
