The cast and crew of "Outlander" have already begun filming for season two in April. The upcoming season will be covering Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber." While most fans of the book know that majority of the scenes will take place in Paris, showrunner Ron Moore said in an earlier interview that filming for the time traveler series will remain in Scotland.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe were recently spotted filming on the set of "Outlander" in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Daily Record reported. According to the news outlet, Heughan and Balfe were filming for a scene in the French Port of Le Harvre.
Meanwhile, author Diana Gabaldon hinted several details of what fans can expect in "Outlander" season 2. Gabaldon told Vulture that rumors about "Dragonfly in Amber" being split into two seasons are not true.
The author also hinted that Claire's husband, Frank (played by Tobias Menzies) will also have more scenes in "Outlander" season 2 than in the books.
"He [Ron Moore] was interested in maintaining the tension of that triangle between Jamie, Claire, and Frank, and making more of it than we made of it in the first book partly because of the condensed nature of a TV show," Gabaldon said.
When asked about her thoughts of seeing her third book, "Voyager," translated into season 3 of "Outlander," Gabaldon admitted that she has no definite answer, but expressed hope that the series will continue to live on for more seasons.
