Ultra Street Fighter 4 for PS4 receives major patch to address numerous day one issues

By

Ultra Street Fighter 4's Playstation 4 version is now getting some badly needed fixes for in-game issues present right from day one.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 may have been met with a good degree of fanfare when it was initially launched for the Playstation 4, but since then, people who bought the game have pointed out the many problems plaguing the title. Many of the issues players had with the game were on the technical side, according to Polygon.

The Playstation 4 version of the game was so problematic that even Capcom had to resort to using the Xbox 360 version for their very own fighting tournament based on the title, according to Eurogamer. Even the organizers of Evo, one of the biggest fighting game tournaments internationally, refrained from using the Playstation 4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 in any of their tournaments.

The hope is that patch 1.02 can at least help get the Playstation 4 version of Ultra Street Fighter to the level of what it is on the Xbox 360.

Both general and player-specific issues were addressed with the latest patch.

Decapre's teleport animation has now been fixed with the latest update, and the same goes for the issue involving Akuma's SFX stomp. The bug concerning Rolento's audio has also been addressed together the SFX for the Red Focus attack also being fixed, according to Kotaku.

As for the general fixes made to the game, players will now no longer suffer from dreadful interface lag when moving between menus. They also won't be caught off guard by projectiles suddenly disappearing anymore. Online IDs will now be appearing as they should in the game as well thanks to the latest update.

Several other visual fixes to the game have been made in order to bring it up to par.

Patch 1.02 for Ultra Street Fighter 4 is already out in North America.
